SJI International – High School After Juliet: A Modern Interpretation of Shakespeare’s Classic

In a mesmerising display of talent and dedication, students from SJI International recently took on Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, breathing fresh life into the age-old narrative.

The 90-minute play ‘After Juliet’ - was made possible by the commitment and hard work of High School staff, students and supporting team, culminating in some outstandingly powerful performances on the night.

Each student brought a unique vigour to their roles, none more so than Benvolio and Rosaline, whose charged dynamic held the audience spellbound.

Helena and Bianca offered meaningful counterpoints with tender scenes that resonated, showcasing the impressive talent nurtured by our students. The ensemble cast, guided by expert drama direction, created a compelling narrative of intrigue and emotion that unfolded with precision. This performance highlights the benefits of our comprehensive drama tuition, fostering both individual talent and collaborative excellence.

As the final echoes of Rosaline's poignant monologue faded, the audience erupted into thunderous applause, swept away by a performance that exceeded all expectations.
