The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa unveils refurbishment plans that will see the Five Red Star Resort of St Andrews, Scotland, undertake a total bedroom upgrade and spa extension complete with a new lap pool and extensive gym.
The Hotel has already been presented with a number of prestigious awards from ‘Scotland’s Best Golf Hotel’ at the World Golf Awards to Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence. Reopening in April 2017, it will take the guest experience to the next level, boasting stunning new bedroom interiors as well as new windows, lighting and air conditioning.
A wide range of guests including groups, sports men and women, families and couples favour the Resort, which idyllically overlooks the ‘The Home of Golf’ – The Old Course and the North Sea. Golfers find the Hotel an excellent base to challenge their skills across a multitude of courses and business guests find its conference facilities unrivalled.
The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa’s plans will take care of even the smallest detail; catering to every whim. Whether it’s additional ergonomic electrical outlet for flexible working, closet lighting, full-sized mirrors or a USB charging point you’re looking for; this renovation plan has thought of everything. The exclusivity of the bedrooms will make each guest feel as though their experience has been tailored just to them; a home away from home.
The exciting refurbishment plans which started at the beginning of January, have a scheduled completion in mid-April. Guest experience remains at the forefront and as a result, the Hotel will be closed to visitors during this time. Open during the entire period will be The Jigger Inn and Ham's Hame restaurants and The Duke's Golf Course and Clubhouse.
Stephen Carter, General Manager, indicated; 'We would like to take our hotel bedroom experience to another level. At the moment, our bedrooms and suites provide a Five Red Star experience and now it’s time to surprise our guests with the unexpected. Our plan encompasses everything you would hope to see in a hotel room, plus so much more. We can’t wait to unveil the new look.’
Adds Abode2 Managing Editor, Laura Henderson: “With exciting upgrades underway, decadent dining and the utmost attention to detail, The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, is a property that clearly doesn't rely on location alone.”
