Specialist real estate investment and development company Unica Capital is renowned for its focus on prime property in London’s most revered postcodes. Company co-founder Byron Baciocchi, unveils their latest growth plans.
Specialist real estate investment and development company Unica Capital, has ambitious growth plans, with a focus on the prime property market in central London’s most revered postcodes.
Founded by Byron Baciocchi, Unica Capital has built up a £380 M real estate portfolio, consisting of acquisitions such as 167-169 Wardour Street, 2-4 Cork Street, 55/56 Poland Street and 35 Great Smith Street, as well as several residential properties across prime locations in Europe.
Unica Capital has quickly established a strong presence in London since its launch, and this is mirrored across its investment portfolio, comprising the best buildings in prime locations. The team has acquired robust performing commercial real estate assets despite challenging market conditions during a period of economic uncertainty, taking a long-term view built on the underlying fundamentals of the capital.
Prior to launching Unica Capital, Byron co-founded Ultima Capital with his friend Max-Hervé George. Ultima Capital is the owner and operator of Ultima Collection, a carefully curated portfolio of award-winning ultra-luxe residences, villas and chalets located in Switzerland, France and Greece, with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability.
Unica Capital’s most recent acquisition, 167-169 Wardour Street in Soho, was purchased for £11.5m and reflects what Byron says is an ‘unwavering commitment to the capital.’
Key movers and shakers across business sectors are extremely keen to be as close as possible to London’s city centre. This is a dynamic that has existed for centuries in the capital and isn’t going to change any time soon.
London has roughly 105,000 civil servants, but that is just the start. Much of the national economy is centred here, and much of the global economy flows through too. Law, finance, media, creative agencies, and wealth managers, for example, all have their own hubs which makes business more efficient and easier to conduct than anywhere else in the world.
The endorsement of a central London postcode like SW1 carries great kudos, and as we return to in-person meetings post pandemic, the lure of these addresses helps with securing meetings. Most importantly for these organisations, London is a place where the best talent in the world wants to live and work.
“London will always have strong global appeal. There is an abundance of opportunities for the right investors who can move quickly – and the time is firmly now” he concludes.
