Specialising in personalised artisanal holiday experiences across Italy, Serena Templeton catches up with Filippo Di Lenardo owner of Elite Retreat Italia to find out what a real dolce vita escape entails.
What kind of bespoke experiences can clients expect?
Our mission is to showcase the artisanal excellence found in each region of Italy whilst travelling in style. So whether you want to be hotel or villa based, our team of expert drivers and tour guides will look after you throughout your stay to ensure you enjoy some unforgettable moments and experience Italy with a senso Italiano.
Are holidays themed?
We have a particular focus on gastronomy, health and well-being, all of which allow you to discover the country’s inimitable heritage. Gastronomy is however the main focus as we believe it’s the best communication tool to showcase the regional culture, fill you with profound cultural moments that will make you “eat with your soul”. Depending on your interests, we combine culinary delights with bespoke activities ranging from art, history, fashion, sport and entertainment.
Whether you are dining in style in a private palace in Venice with a Michelin star chef and Italy’s best sommelier, heli skiing on the Dolomites with an world champion or enjoying exclusive access to the world’s elite jewellery makers for a bespoke design diamond, our mission is to push your imagination to create a one of a kind trip that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Are there any newly launched programmes that people can access?
“RetrEat and Breathe” is aimed at showcasing the healthy side of Italian gastronomy. In our selected villas, a personal chef and a personal trainer will combine their expertise to create a holistic lifestyle programme tailored around your needs to rejuvenate body and soul. One of our most successful getaways is yoga and vegetarian cooking on the Amalfi Coast. It’s the perfect pairing.
