Freddy Mercury’s sister, Kashmira Bulsara, is selling her Grade II listed London apartment at Hyde Park Gardens via estate agent Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Kay & Co. Hyde Park Gardens is a monumental terrace of grand, stucco-faced town houses in W2, dating back to 1836, designed by architect John Crake. The building’s principal front is to the south, facing landscaped gardens and overlooking Hyde Park and the Central London skyline.

Kashmira reveals: “Freddie always classed London as his home despite having properties in other parts of the world. I bought the property [at Hyde Park Gardens] in 2005 and like Freddie, I began to love London and decided to own a second property there to enjoy the interesting and exciting things the capital had to offer. Its diversity, theatres, museums and shopping of course.

“I chose the area for its natural, beautiful views. You can see the dome of the Royal Albert Hall and the top of the Albert Memorial. The area, although central to London (Marble Arch is close by), is very quiet when you turn into Hyde Park Gardens.”

“I’ll be sad to leave the apartment as I enjoyed its comforts, but I now feel it's time to downscale and move on to a new chapter of my life,” she concludes.
