Set in the fertile valley of Morna, on the east side of the island, is the Blakstad Design Studio.
Es Terç d'en Blai has an imposing exterior. A large portal-style doorway provides access to a courtyard based on the design of the Temple of Solomon described in the Old Testament. Behind the courtyard is a large room based on the megaron. While, in ancient Greece, the ceiling above the centre of the room would traditionally have been open for fires in a central hearth, here it has a roof and windows, which can be opened for ventilation. At the sides of the courtyard smaller rooms serve as offices and storerooms. On a lower level, a formal garden based on an ancient Phoenician shrine found on the north coast of Syria, features a central island in a lily pond.
