Tell us about Nest Seekers

Tell us about your current role

I work mostly with international clients and expats. I moved from Sweden to Cascais with my family in 2017. As a broker, I can empathise and relate to clients who are moving to this amazing country, as I was once in their shoes. All of the obstacles that come with moving to Portugal; I’ve personally been through and can combine my local knowledge with a foreign resident’s perspective.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love the opportunity to be a part of someone’s journey in finding their next home or investment. The relationships you build with clients in the process, are truly rewarding. In this journey, you get to meet a lot of interesting people who all have their own needs and interests. I believe one of the biggest skills you can hone, working in this field, is having a genuine interest in people and creating human connections. When one truly enjoy these encounters, it gives you the best chance in understanding and helping your clients.

How do you see the company evolving in the next five years?

Nest Seekers is a progressive high-end luxury firm. We expanded into Portugal in 2020, and as we’re only in the beginning phase here, I’m very excited to be a part of the journey to come. Aspirational, high-net-worth clients rely on familiar and trusted brands that share similar principals and identity. This is also what is now being established in Portugal and Europe.

As a country, Portugal is becoming a popular destination for many people from around the globe. Whether it be for lifestyle, or tax reasons, people are looking to the country as an option to build their life. Portugal is currently topping the charts as the best place to raise a family, with world-leading health care, as well as being voted the best destination for expats and one of the safest countries in the world.
