The Hotel Guru is one of the few truly independent hotel recommendation websites. Set up in 2010 by renowned hotel critic Fiona Duncan, the website has evolved and expanded rapidly over the past nine years from a small selection of properties in the UK, France and Italy to a worldwide offering that encompasses destinations from the USA and Far East to Albania and Uruguay!

Our mission, pure and simple, is to find the best properties around the globe, and when we say properties we don’t just mean smart hotels! We mean charming B&Bs, cosy guesthouses, gastropubs with rooms, five star luxury grand dames, hot-off-the-press openings and everything in between.

To this end we’ve commissioned a raft of leading reviewers and journalists to tell us their secrets, so that we can share the info with our readers! We also scour travel guides, newspapers and hotel awards lists to ensure that our selection of recommended properties are as up to date as possible.
