International-selling artist Susan Entwistle paints her originals in a contemporary pointillist style to evoke a feeling of joy in the viewer.
Following a successful career in textile design her work has sprung out of the nostalgia of a childhood that was so often centred on the garden and the natural landscape around her. Susan’s art captures the vibrancy and essence of beautiful landscapes, expressing a sense of calm through the myriad of colourful dots and marks that create a tapestry-like impression of nature.
‘The subject matter I am almost inevitably drawn towards is the natural environment, whether it is a landscape of woodland, a park or garden, or the trees and flowers within those landscapes. My paintings reflect this love of nature.'
Susan exhibits annually in Chelsea, London at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show and works to commission for private and public bodies. One of her most distinguished commissions was to paint the Monaco Garden for HSH Prince Albert of Monaco.
