Sophie Swan Design

Newly established brand Sophie Swan Design, aims to bring colour and nature into your home with a modern take on floral prints. Sophie Swan created the brand in 2020, with a mission, simply to create beautiful designs to enhance your living space. The Homeware and Accessories brand’s colourful products are available to purchase from the website. The current product range features double sided cushion covers made from soft cotton panama, cotton tote bags with webbing handles and a selection of greeting cards. More products are planned to be added to the range with two new products due to be available later this year.

All designs are created by Sophie, on the Isle of Wight, with each design originating from her own photographs. She discovered her style of designing, whilst studying for her degree in surface design, in Somerset. By combining two of her favourite things; photography and pattern, she found her signature style. The designs are then completed digitally, with a vibrant colour palette. Inspired by Oriental gardens and Fairy tales, Sophie set out to create colourful, elegant designs to enhance living spaces and enable a sense of wellbeing through her use of colour. Her love of flowers is evident in each design, and while the aesthetic of the brand is flower focussed with its modern floral prints, there are the occasional appearances from birds and butterflies.

It is important to Sophie that the brand produces high quality, locally made products; therefore only UK production companies are used. All fabric products are printed and constructed by a family run company in Lincolnshire. They have a strong environmental policy, which includes using water based inks for printing, which is better for the environment. The cards are printed by a company in London, which is committed to sustainability and certified by the forest stewardship council. The environment has been considered at each step, with all products being made in the UK, using eco-friendly production methods and all orders posted in plastic free packaging, which can be recycled. As sustainability is important to Sophie, the brand’s products will always be made by companies who care about their impact on the environment.
